About Us
The Vermont Sandwich Company was started by two Vermont Natives who had a passion for fresh, quality food and who loved to blend a variety of flavors. Additionally, they wanted to bring the Vermont, small town, ‘hippy friendly’ atmosphere to life in Phoenix. In early 2006, they opened the restaurant. Faced with other business opportunities, the owners decided to sell the restaurant. As fellow patrons of the restaurant,
two patrons purchased the restaurant because the concept, food and atmosphere reminded
them of their home towns in Vermont and New York.
In 2010 we will be adding
a few new wraps, salads and soon Panini's, so keep watching the site and

So, why are we different from your standard sandwich shop?
Our unique menu and fresh ingredients! Take our most popular sandwich, The Vermonter (fitting huh?) - maple glazed turkey and honey ham with granny smith apples, cranberry mayo, romaine and cheddar cheese all on our honey wheat bread – just enough sweetness and tartness to create a sensational taste you won’t find anywhere else in the Valley. Or let’s take the Ethan Allen - Honey ham on sourdough with homemade maple Dijon mustard, Swiss cheese, romaine, tomato, red onion, sliced cucumber, carrots and dill pickles – that’s no ordinary ham sandwich! We offer ten signature sandwiches and a variety of toasted sandwiches – like our French Canadian Dip which is our own hand roasted beef, homemade green chili mayo topped with muenster cheese – it just hits the spot on a cold day. We also offer wraps – like the Green Monster – our all veggie wrap that has shredded lettuce, carrots, red cabbage, avocado, red onion, green pepper, tomato, sprouts, cucumber and sharp cheddar in a fresh spinach wrap with a side of our own honey mustard dressing – this is our most popular wrap!
We aren’t going to put all our great stuff on the home page – we know you can read the menu – but you get the idea we aren’t your average sandwich shop.
So, what will keep you coming back?
Well, we do have several people that come back for our fresh squeezed lemonade, homemade soups and freshly baked desserts. Our soups are made each day from scratch using traditional recipes. Our desserts are baked daily and you will never know what you find – on some days you might find Oatmeal cookies with granny smith apples and cranberries or during the holiday’s you will find pumpkin chocolate chip cookies – however, you will always find our signature chocolate chip and peanut butter with peanutbutter chips. Call us to find out what the soup and dessert features are today.
Do we delivery this yummy stuff?
Yes! A minimum order amount will be requested and a delivery charge will be added. No, we don’t dress up like a cow or drive a VW bus (yet).
What's important to us?
You – our customer – are our top priority and we believe you deserve the best. That is why we put the taste and quality back into the food with the friendly staff and atmosphere that you would find in a small town in Vermont. If you aren’t satisfied, we want to know why, please use the contact us page to tell us!
We hope to see you soon!
